A real team

Building relationships is not easy for everyone. Past life experiences can have a huge effect on our ability to reach out and connect but Toni is putting the past behind her and looking forward every day.

Karis is committed to working with Toni to find ways to build trust and rapport. “I wanted to be there for her, I suggested a little life laundry to get on top of things”. We tackled some small and practical tasks together to keep things manageable. Besides sorting out benefits and registering with a doctor, together they decided they needed to tackle that flat! To put it politely it was a bit of a mess. “Sweeping, mopping, and dusting; it’s funny what brings you together”, shares Karis.

Just spending time doing simple things like cleaning, going for a walk or having a cup of tea – Toni has a fancy Frappuccino – has set the foundations for a happier future.

As Toni says, “Doing this with someone is actually really nice”.
